Anyone have a 5-10 minute power point presentation on some basics or anything similar?

The county is teaching a "Investigator Class for Detectives" at the academy and they asked my to do a 30-45 minute block on the Polygraph.

I was just going to tell them some of the (when to call when not to rules) and "yes it works" stuff, but I thought I would throw it out there. I could throw a power point together myself, too.

Buster,

Here is a flash presentation from a few months ago.
http://www.raymondnelson.us/training/CSAO_8-8-07.swf

I have it in separate powerpoint documents by sections (and OASIS .odf format). Some sections may not be interesting to everyone, but I could send it to you if you like.

I wrote an article for the Maine Law Enforcement Officer's Bulletin in 2003 that I have around here somewhere that's called "Polygraph 101 for Investigators." You could hand it out if you want to. No slides, but you could use it as an outline for yours.

Thanx Guys.

Oh stat, these guys may have never seen a pig; it may scare them...

If your agency has discussed CVSA at all you may want to show the PRIME TIME segment that shows how accurate....I mean INACCURATE the CVSA is. I have an extra CD copy if you need it or it can be downloaded at AAPP.

I sent it in PDF so you should be able to open it with ease. Some of the how-to's are based on the desires of our local association, so you might need to add some of your own comments.

It's just an article, but you can have it (and make a PDF that you can share).
